In conjunction with
the Tomball Centennial Celebration and AKC's "Responsible Dog Ownership Day", DogFest
2007 networks the public with many of the non-profit, all-volunteer rescue
organizations selflessly working to save dogs lives and find them
forever homes. In addition, DogFest is seeking many pet related
business required when owning a dog.
The
event will be under and around the Juergen's Park pavillion which is set
up with 40 picnic tables available for reservation. An area for set-ups will be available around
the pavillion and throughout the park. Limited electricity is
available under the pavillion. Restrooms are nearby and food/beverages will be offered (vendor to be
selected).
The Tomball Parks Department will provide a designated "potty"
area for to minimize clean up efforts after
the event. Our participants will include animal rescue organizations, groomers, trainers, sitters, boarding facilites as well as speciality services. Our special guests this year is SPCA's Chief Investigator Charles Jantzen & KHOU's Brad Woodard! As a participating vendor at the event, the name of your company or organization will be included in the event flyers and on the official Dog-Fest website. The event will be posted on all Clear Channel radio websites, some tv websites and many online event calendars. It will also be published in local publications such as The Tomball Tribune, The Tomball Potpourri and promotional flyers & signs placed at numerous sites throughout the Tomball, Magnolia, Spring, Cypress, Champions, The Woodlands, and 1960 area such as veterinarian offices, pet stores, restaurants, community centers, etc. The event will receive local radio mention during public service announcements.aYour organization will be added to the marketing materials and website once you have registered and payment has been received.
UPDATE:Plans are already underway to make this year's event bigger and better than last. This year's event has been sanctioned with Tomball's 2007 Centennial Celebration! Watch for more details!
RESCUE RAFFLE: We will continue to donate 80% of the registration fees to the Rescue Raffle. The Rescue Raffle also receives funds accumulated from private donations, DogFest merchandise and tickets sold for raffle items. All rescue organizations participating in DogFest are encouraged to enter the raffle. The Rescue Raffle will take place at 5:00pm on the day of the event. The rescue organization must be 501c3 approved. Let's see if we can beat our previous total of $1276.
BOOTH
SPACE: There
will be a few changes this year. Vendors bringing more than 1 dog such as
rescues, breed clubs, etc will set up on the grassy area. This will free
up the pavillion tables for retail & food vendors and allow a
sitting/dining area for visitors. Those on the grassy area will not have
space limitations. We have the entire park to set up and spread out. All
vendors on grass will need to bring their own canopy, table, chairs, etc.
Space under the pavillion will include one 6' picnic table. Any additional
items will need to be provided by the vendor. ALL TABLES UNDER THE PAVILLION HAVE BEEN RESERVED
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED All booth fees must be paid by September 25th NO EXCEPTIONS! Limited electricity is available around the pavillion. If you require electricity, please enter that information on the vendor registration page so we can place you near the pavillion. Again, we will have a designated "potty area" roped off. Please bring all pets into this area to do their business. I am seeking volunteers to help organize a number of tasks prior to the event. WE STILL NEED 6 ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS - MUST BE 14 OR OLDER |
